Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, LIVE stock prices: National stock markets started Wednesday’s trading session flat, swinging between gains and losses. The S&P BSE Sensex gained 70 points after the start of the day, regaining 59,900 while the NSE Nifty 50 was up 15 points, hovering around 17,800. The Bank Nifty index rose 0.50% while that the larger markets have traded in a mixed fashion. Indi VIX gained more than 2%. Bajaj Finance rose 2% as the first Sensex winner, followed by Ultratech Cement, Bajaj FINserv and ICICI Bank. HCL Technologies leads with a drop of 1.4%, along with Tech Mahindra, Infosys and IndusInd Bank.
Companies in Kishore Biyani’s Future Group face a major setback on Tuesday as the Delhi High Court dismissed their request to quash Singapore’s ongoing arbitration proceedings with Amazon. The case concerns the Rs 24,500 crore merger agreement with Reliance Retail of Mukesh Ambai. In its order, the Delhi High Court said that it is not for the court to interfere with the scheduling of the arbitration proceedings as desired by Future Group. Amazon and Future Group have been fighting a battle in the legal corridors for more than a year now after the latter decided to sell its retail assets to Reliance Retail.
