PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zone Development and Management Company (EZDMC) in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan organized an interactive sensitization session for industrialists in the Mohmand Tribal District in the Mohmand Economic Zone ( MEZ).

Representatives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata Economic Revitalization Project (ERKF), Smeda, TDAP, SBP, KP EZDMC, UBL, MCB, HBL, BOP, BOK and Meezan Bank, the local community and MEZ industrialists attended the event at the Mohmand area office. .

Manufacturers were informed of new products by Smeda, SBP, TDAP and local banks for the financing of various banks and the available subsidies that could benefit the creation of new industries, the upgrading of existing ones, management of financing and export programs.

MEZ spans 350 acres with a leasable area of ​​257 acres located at the junction of Mohmand, Peshawar and Bajaur. It is 25 km from the Peshawar-Torkham highway in the Michni region.

Total investment in settlement is around 7.6 billion rupees and the area expects to generate 56,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities. The session ended with an open discussion of manufacturers with the panel.

KP EZDMC’s head of facilitation and industrial support assured manufacturers that the company would organize more sessions of this type for them.
